Today was another one with temperatures over 100 degrees, and the sky had this great purple haze. I started this painting with a quick sketch in acrylic, trying to capture a bit of that purple. After that I laid in the sky and used it as sort of a started for the rest of the painting, limiting myself to a small palette of colors.
