Cougar Peak #325
4.75" x 6.75" Gouache on Paper
The mountain was rather beautiful today covered in cold hues of brilliant blue. I wanted to try and capture a bit of that cold and the wonderful chaos as the clouds drifted through leaving their icy chill. I decided to leave the mountain in blue and gray the clouds up a bit just to heighten the blue a bit more.

Gorgeous, gorgeous painting! How does it feel to be coming close to the end of your year of painting the mountain? I can't wait to read your thoughts about the project at the end of the year.
Thanks Laureline! Getting closer to the end of the project is filling me with many mixed emotions.....part of me will be happy, another part sad, another part wants to continue on for another year,...but then another part is saying are you CRAZY!!. It will be cool when it is done to be able to step back and look at the project as a whole.
