Cougar Peak #224
4.75" x 6.75" Gouache on Paper
For this painting I decided to work on a piece of kraft colored paper, which allows for a nice medium value to work off of. I did a quick sketch in pencil, letting it just lightly skim the paper. I then came in with my gouache, blocking in the canyon and the outline of the ridges, finishing it off with the hightlights, barn, tree, etc...
